Varicose veins
14. október 2025
I have superficial thrombosis in my leg and I’m considering wearing compression socks. Would this generally be advisable in such cases, and if so, what type or level of compression is usually recommended?
Hi and thank you for your question,
I suspect that what you are experiencing is varicose veins. However, a professional evaluation would be needed to confirm the diagnosis. If it is varicose veins, it is likely that compression stockings or elastic stockings will help to control symptoms and reduce discomfort. I encourage you to discuss this with your midwife at your maternity care. Good luck.
